As an Official Partner of Audi, We Will Show You How to Charge Your Audi A3 Sportback e-tron Easily and Flexibly Using Your Own Wall Box at Home or a Public Charging Station.

Charging Your Audi A3 Sportback e-tron at Home

Charge at Home with 3.7 kW and Reach Full Charge in 2.5 hours

The Audi A3 Sportback e-tron can be charged with a charging power of up to 3.7 kW using the at-home wall box. With a battery capacity of 8.8 kWh, you will reach full electric range in around 2.5 hours. Depending on how you drive, the time of year, and an electric top speed of up to 130 km/h, you can drive around 50 km using electric power. Charging is performed using a type 2 plug and can be done via a mode 2 charging cable connected to an individually fused domestic socket with 2.3 kW. For safety reasons, we recommend you to have your electrical installation examined by a qualified electrician. Your socket will be under full strain for 4 hours when charging from the domestic socket. Using the wall box, you can charge your Audi A3 Sportback e-tron not only safely but also almost twice as fast as with a regular domestic socket.

What Do I Need a Wall Box for?

With a wall box for your Audi A3 Sportback e-tron, you can charge your car not only quickly and efficiently (saving up to 1.5 hours of time) but also safely and intelligently. Read our blog entry to find out what to be aware of for the safe installation of a charging station.

Charging Your Audi A3 Sportback e-tron When Out and About

Die Herausforderung besteht im Moment allerdings noch darin, dass das Laden ohne vorhergehende Anmeldung beim entsprechenden Ladesäulenanbieter nicht möglich ist. Öffentlich Laden muss daher gut geplant sein.

Flexible charging anywhere at any CEE industrial or domestic socket

With a mobile charging station and the matching adapters you can charge everywhere with a charging power of 2.3 kW at a domestic power socket, and up to a charging power of 22 kW at a 32 A CEE industrial socket. With a mobile charging station you are less dependent on public charging stations, which makes mobile charging stations the perfect companion on the road.

Public Charging Stations with Type 2 Socket or Type 2 Charging Cable

With a mode 3 type 2 charging cable, Audi A3 Sportback e-tron drivers can make use of public charging stations. At the moment, it is still a problem that most charging station providers won’t let you charge at their facilities without registering in advance. Charging in public must therefore be planned properly.
