Special Features when Charging Your Opel Ampera-e:
Again Opel is one step ahead and chose the Paris Motor Show to present their new full-electric vehicle with a tremendous range, the Opel Ampera-e. With a battery capacity of 60 kWh the new model from Rüsselsheim is capable of driving up to 520 km on a single charge. Of course the regular range varies depending on your driving style, season of the year and your air conditioning. Besides the high range, the type 2 connector is also a new feature. The maximum speed of the Ampera-e is 150 km/h and it gets charged with up to 7.2 kW (single-phase). If you want to charge up faster, the Ampera-e is capable of CCS fast-charging. Of course you can charge the Opel Ampera-e with a Mode-2 charging cable on e regular 2.3 kW seperately fused domestic socket. For safety reasons, however, you should avoid doing this in the long term, since charging your car from a domestic socket will place the maximum load on the socket for approximately 26 hours. You can charge your Opel Ampera-e safely and forward-thinking with a charging station. The twin of the American Chevrolet Bolt is available in Germany from April 2017 on.
