The NISSAN LEAF in transition - how he and his charging behavior has changed

The NISSAN LEAF has a long tradition of electric mobility and, with every new generation, NISSAN strives to advance the development of its best-selling electric car. For example, the current version of the NISSAN LEAF is equipped with a 30 kWh battery, which offers a driving range of up to 250 km based on NEDC, depending on your driving style, the road conditions and the season. The variant of the NISSAN LEAF with a battery capacity of 24 kWh is, of course, also still available, and offers a range of 199 km according to the NEDC. In addition to the battery options, you can of course also choose from two on-board chargers as usual: 3.6 kW and 6.6 kW. You can charge the NISSAN LEAF using a charging station at home at a charging power of 4.6 kW or 6.6 kW depending on your country. With a battery capacity of 30 kWh and a charging power of 4.6 kW, you will be able to enjoy the full driving range after approximately 7 hours of charging. With the 24 kWh battery variant, your NISSAN will be ready to drive after just 5.5 hours.

You can charge the car using a type 1 plug and also at 2.3 kW with a mode 2 charging cable via a separately fused domestic socket. For safety reasons, however, you should avoid doing this in the long term, since charging your car from a domestic socket will place the maximum load on the socket for approximately 13.5 hours. The 4.6 kW charging station will not only allow you to charge your NISSAN LEAF safely, but also almost twice as quickly as using a domestic socket.
