Practically combining a residual current circuit breaker (FI / RCD) and a circuit breaker (LS)

Each charging station must be connected by a separate FI within its own power circuit. The FI protects against faulty current flows and thus against dangerous electric shocks. To protect the installation from excess current and short circuits, a circuit breaker is required. Since many charging stations are already supplied with integrated DC residual current protection, it is sufficient to use a standard type A FI. Combining both protection systems in one device saves space and time during installation. Details about when you need a residual current device (FI / RCD), which types of residual current circuit breakers are available, and how to choose, can be found here.

Technical specifications:

Number of poles 2
Residual current type A
Rated residual current I∆n 0,03 A
Operating voltage AC (fix) 230 V
Rated current (AC) 20 A
Tripping characteristic C
