Protection against residual currents - residual current device (FI / RCD)
Every charging station must be connected via its own FI. The FI protects against faulty current flows and thus against dangerous electric shocks. Since many charging stations are already supplied with integrated DC residual current protection, it is sufficient to use a standard type A FI. Details about when you need a residual current device (FI / RCD), which types of residual current circuit breakers are available, and how to choose, can be found here.
