Simple switch to driving electric: The Japanese all-wheel-drive brand Subaru is accompanying the market launch of the all-electric Subaru Solterra (power consumption combined: 17.9 – 16.0 kWh/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 0 g/km; values determined in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP)) in late summer 2022 with a partnership with The Mobility House. The cooperation with the Munich-based electromobility expert facilitates a smooth transition for customers switching to Subaru’s first-ever electric car.
Anyone opting for the all-electric crossover SUV will benefit from complete support at participating Subaru dealerships. In cooperation with The Mobility House, customers will be given a helping hand with the likes of purchasing a suitable wallbox – including a corresponding installation check carried out by regional partner companies. At-home charging stations cut the charging time to one-third compared to charging at standard household outlets.
Solterra drivers also receive recommendations for accessories and mobile charging solutions, not to mention comprehensive information on charging and subsidies such as the innovation premium (which reduces the Solterra’s entry-level price by €7,975 gross to €49,515) and the greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction quota.
Holistic support for Subaru dealers
Subaru dealers also benefit from holistic support: The Mobility House helps to set up a charging infrastructure for electric cars at the site in question and provides contractors with a free initial consultation to clarify basic issues. With its Charging and Energy Management system ChargePilot, the company is offering a suitable solution for meeting manufacturer specifications on site both efficiently and affordably. The vendor-neutral system manages the charging processes intelligently and adapted to local conditions. Compared to uncontrolled charging, this approach generates potential savings that can quickly amount to €50,000 over five years for a car dealership.
"The new Solterra marks a milestone that we are using to drive forward the electrification of our model range and take a step toward climate neutrality. As part of the Subaru quality promise, we naturally want to provide our customers with the best possible advice and support. By bringing The Mobility House on board, we’ve found the perfect partner to do exactly that – a company capable of taking over full responsibility for customer and dealer support."
