Pioneers and Thought Leaders of the Mobility Transition
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Dr. Herbert Diess was Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG from 2018 to 2022. Since 2023, he has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Infineon Technologies AG, and since early 2024, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Mobility House.
After beginning his career in 1989 at Robert Bosch GmbH, he went on to hold senior positions at BMW AG (serving as a member of the Board of Management from 2007 to 2015) as well as within the Volkswagen Group. His expertise in electromobility and his activities in the solar industry come together in his commitment at The Mobility House to drive the energy transition and realize The Mobility House’s vision of zero emissions, zero cost.

Delegate of the Board of Directors
As the owner of a strategy consultancy specialized in energy, Thomas Raffeiner founded The Mobility House in 2009, making it one of the first service companies for electromobility in Europe. Inspired by technological possibilities, he believes in the end of the oil age and the challenges and opportunities that come with it.
For this pioneer in electromobility, the journey to the summit is what counts: whether on foot, by bike, by paraglider – and above all, entrepreneurially with his team. A father of three and Austrian citizen, he also supports a children’s village in Ladakh in the Himalayas.

Candice Thorwirth is M&A Manager at Renault Group. Renault Group has held a stake in The Mobility House since 2019 through Alliance Ventures, the strategic venture capital arm of Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi.
Her focus is on mergers and acquisitions, corporate development and strategic investments. The Mobility House and Renault Group have been working together for many years to integrate electric vehicles more closely into the energy system — including through solutions for bidirectional charging.

Jennifer Ong Phaik Ching is Vice President, Head of Corporate Development & Strategy at SP Group. SP Group is Singapore’s national grid operator and operates energy infrastructure as well as sustainable energy solutions in several markets across the region.
In her work, Jennifer Ong is responsible for strategic development and investment topics with a focus on renewable energy, integrated energy solutions and international growth projects. SP Group made a strategic investment in The Mobility House in 2020.

GM Europe, Opel, BMW, and Tata Motors/JLR: Carl-Peter Forster held numerous top positions in the automotive industry before joining The Mobility House. Today, he serves, among other roles, as a supervisory board member at the Chinese automotive group Geely and at Volvo Cars, and is involved in developing the new electric London Taxi. He is committed to a world in which electromobility plays a central role. Carl-Peter Forster has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2012.

Since June 1, 2019, Franz Reiner has been Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG. The company finances and leases every second vehicle delivered by Mercedes-Benz. Under his leadership, Mercedes-Benz Mobility has positioned itself for the future with its three core business areas: financial services, fleet management, and digital mobility solutions, including charging.
As CEO of Mercedes-Benz Mobility, Reiner is guiding the company into a future of flexible and sustainable mobility concepts as well as innovative and digital financing solutions of tomorrow.

Mindaugas Gogelis is Energy Transition Director at Mercuria. Mercuria is one of the world’s leading independent energy and commodities trading companies and has held a stake in The Mobility House since 2021.
At Mercuria, Mindaugas Gogelis works on strategic projects and investments in the field of energy transition. His focus is on energy trading, finance, decarbonization and new business models in the energy sector.

Marc O’Connor, based in Ireland, is General Manager at Mitsui & Co., Europe PLC. He brings extensive experience from previous positions at Rail Partners, the Rail Delivery Group, and M&T Aviation Ltd.
Marc holds a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance. With a broad skill set spanning business strategy, management, project planning, project management, change management, and more, he contributes his expertise to The Mobility House.

Born in 1971 in Bogen, Bavaria, Andreas Feicht served from 2007 to 2019 as Chairman of the Management Board of WSW Energie & Wasser and as Chairman of the Executive Board of WSW Wuppertaler Stadtwerke. From February 2019 until the formation of the new federal government, Mr. Feicht was State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. Since August 2022, he has been Chairman of the Management Board of RheinEnergie AG and Chief Executive Officer of Stadtwerke Köln GmbH.

Jochen Wermuth is the founder and Managing Director of Wermuth Asset Management. Wermuth Asset Management is a Berlin-based asset manager focused on climate impact investments and growth capital for the green industrial transformation.
Since founding Wermuth Asset Management in 1999, Jochen Wermuth has supported investments across various asset classes. He was an early investor in renewable energy and climate technologies and brings this capital markets and financing perspective to the Board of Directors.
