The Renault ZOE in transition – how she and her charging behavior have changed
At up to 22 kW, the Renault ZOE has the highest charging power of all the Renault Z.E. models. The Renault ZOE charges with up to 22 kW at the domestic charging station, and with a battery capacity of 22 kWh it gives you full range after approx. 2:40 hours. Renault indicates a realistic range of about 300 km, depending on your driving style and other influencing factors such as seasonal weather. According to NEDC, it is possible to drive up to 400 km on just a single charge. A type 2 plug is used for charging and the vehicle can be charged alternatively with 2.3 kW via a mode 2 charging cable at a single fused domestic socket. This should be avoided over the longer term for safety reasons. When charging at a domestic socket, your socket is fully loaded for 25 hours. At the charging station, you can not only charge your Renault ZOE safely but also 6.5 times more quickly than at a domestic socket.
As with all Renault Z.E. models, you only rent the battery, and as soon as its performance declines it will be replaced; this ensures you to always have a fully functional battery in your vehicle.
