The Tesla Model S in transition – how he and his charging behavior has changed
The age of the 22 kW Model S double charger is over. From now on, it will be succeeded by the famous Model S in the 11 kW and optional 16,5 kW variants. With a battery capacity of 70 kWh, you can enjoy the full driving range after about 5 hours of charging, while the 90 kWh variant is fully charged in 6 hours. Depending on your driving style and a number of other parameters such as the season, air conditioning system or seat heating, and based on the battery capacity, the driving range of your Tesla Model S will be up to 470 km (70D), 550 km (90D) or 632 km (100D). The Tesla Model S is also available in the P version with Insane button, e.g. the Tesla Model S P90D, which makes it possible to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3 seconds.
The car can be charged at home using a type 2 plug. In some cases, you can also charge your Tesla Model S via a domestic socket at 2.3 kW using the mobile connector. For safety reasons, however, you should avoid doing this in the long term, since charging your car from a domestic socket will place the maximum load on the socket for up to 40 hours. The charging station enables you not only to charge your Tesla Model S safely, but also 7 times as quickly as using a domestic socket.
