Boosting innovation trough collaboration: The Mobility House supports energy providers in developing new charging tariffs

February 14, 2024|Munich, Zurich

  • The intelligent energy product, eyond Partner by The Mobility House, enables energy providers to quickly offer a charging tariff and strengthen customer loyalty.
  • Energy providers benefit from the technology company's extensive experience in aggregating and marketing electric vehicle batteries.
  • End customers can reduce electricity bills by up to 400 euros per year through eyond Partner.
  • Several energy providers are already persuaded by eyond Partner.

The technology company The Mobility House connects electromobility with the energy market and now offers energy providers an innovative solution with eyond Partner: This new product offers energy providers the chance to introduce a home charging tariff, allowing their private customers to actively reduce charging costs by flexibly providing their electric vehicle battery. This expansion of services not only promises cost-efficient energy supply for electric vehicle users but also serves as a sustainable and attractive addition to the existing tariff offerings. The Mobility House delivers the technological components, while energy providers remain the face to their customers as contractual partner.

Optimizing parking times: Flexibility bonus and §14a reduce electricity costs by up to 400 euros

Electric vehicle drivers plan and control their charging processes using the Smart Charging App, while The Mobility House aggregates the provided battery flexibility in the background through FlexibilityAggregator. Subsequently, the technology company’s FlexibilityTrader takes over the marketing of the gained charging flexibility in short-term trading, assuming the risk of forecast deviations. Through flexibility marketing, energy providers can pass on annual tariff savings of up to 250 euros to their customers. When combined with control by the grid operator for intelligent charging following Section 14a of the Energy Industry Act (EnWG), electric vehicle drivers save up to 400 euros per year.

The Smart Charging App is available either as a white-label solution in the energy provider’s look or as part of co-branding. Interfaces to existing municipal utility apps or to leading app providers such as endios are also in planning.

Among the first partners is ENERVIE - Südwestfalen Energie AG. They expand their tariff offering with the eyond Partner product, accelerate their product development by months, and supply energy to end customers for household and electric vehicles.

"Through the collaborative and long-term partnership with The Mobility House, we are exploring new and innovative paths in energy supply. eyond Partner enables us to offer modern tariffs and easily enter a dynamic market. This offer is particularly beneficial for our electric mobility customers, who will have increased energy demand in the future."

Andreas Sippel,

Sales Director at ENERVIE

"We have already won more than 150 energy providers as partners in electromobility. With our innovative energy product eyond Partner, offered as a white-label solution, we continuously expand our spectrum beyond charging infrastructure and our Charging and Energy Management ChargePilot. Step by step, we come closer to our goal of becoming the leading technology partner for integrating electric vehicles into the energy system."

Marcus Fendt,

Managing Director at The Mobility House

The technology is not only available to energy providers but also to other partners in the automotive and mobility industry.

From February 20 to 22, 2024, The Mobility House will be showcasing at E-World in Essen, at Hall 5, Booth D112, and experts will be available for further inquiries.
