Integrating load management and additional charging points into the existing system
Efficient overall energy concept with 1,900 kWp PV system
We took on the task of integrating the particularly large PV system on the roof of the campus in Neckarsulm into the overall concept. In addition, it was necessary to ensure that the existing grid connection was used as efficiently as possible. Power upgrades or the installation of additional transformers were to be avoided.
Successful launch: Smooth operation of charging infrastructure with billing solution
Our experts implemented a customized solution for each location. The ChargePilot® charging and energy management system ensures smooth operation of the charging infrastructure. Among other things, its hardware and software ensure that the many charging processes are integrated efficiently and cost-effectively into the existing energy landscape at each location. Open interfaces allow the available renewable energy to be taken into account, so that the approximately 1,900 kWp output of the photovoltaic system now contributes to the electric charging of the e-vehicles.
Bechtle's fleet managers can view and manage all parameters for all charging points at all locations in a central system. ChargePilot® handles monitoring and dynamic load management for the charging points as well as transparent billing for charging processes. Depending on the availability of electricity at the grid connection, the electric cars charge particularly quickly at up to 22 kW or – as soon as large consumers such as stoves and ovens in the company restaurant or air conditioning in summer start up – slightly slower for a short time or staggered over time. ChargePilot® also exchanges all relevant information via open interfaces to energy management, fleet management, and billing systems.
Since ChargePilot® is designed to be manufacturer-neutral, many charging stations from different manufacturers can be integrated. This gives the customer flexibility and future-proofing.
