The Mercedes-Benz EQC in transition - how he and his charging behavior has changed

With the Mercedes-Benz EQC, Daimler's first all-electric car is due to roll onto German roads in mid-2019. The Mercedes-Benz EQC is equipped with a battery capacity of 80 kWh. Depending on your driving style, the season and a maximum speed of up to 180 km/h, you will be able to drive for 450 km (based on the NEDC driving cycle). You can charge the battery via a separately fused 2.3 kW domestic socket using a mode 2 charging cable. For safety reasons, however, you should avoid doing this in the long term, since charging your car from a domestic socket will place the maximum load on the socket for 35 hours. A charging station will not only allow you to charge your Mercedes-Benz EQC safely, but also more than four times as quickly as using a domestic socket.
