Irish postal service An Post is one of the pioneers in the procurement and use of electric vehicles in its commercial vehicle fleet. The company aims to be the postal operator with the largest share of electric vehicles worldwide.
Significant expansion of electric mobility
1,445 electric vehicles, 157 e-trikes, and three 7.5-ton e-trucks: An Post will remain Ireland's pioneer in electric vehicle fleets in 2024. With 1,500 charging points, they operate the largest private EV charging network in Ireland.
As the fleet grows, so do the demands on an intelligent and reliable charging infrastructure. For this task, An Post relies on the modular charging and energy management system ChargePilot® from The Mobility House Solutions. And this reliability is essential: In 2024, An Post drove around 10 million kilometers with its electric vehicles.
ChargePilot®: Advantages of the charging and energy management system from The Mobility House Solutions
ChargePilot guarantees reliability: Thanks to its unique combination of a locally installed controller and cloud-based services, ChargePilot guarantees fast response times and high reliability – even in the event of a temporary interruption in the internet connection. In the rare event of a malfunction, the system sends automatic error messages. In addition, 24/7 remote monitoring ensures smooth operation.
ChargePilot has an open interface: Standardized interfaces allow the integration of both AC and DC charging stations. New modules and systems from third-party providers can also be easily integrated in the future.

"As the postal service moves from the old world of mail to the new world of e-commerce, sustainability must be the company's guiding principle. As a major employer with a large fleet footprint, this requires responsible climate protection measures with the goal of carbon-free delivery."
