Webinar: Developing Robust Transit Systems

A RIPTA Case Study on Automated Load Management and Onsite Backup Power
Bus charging at RIPTA depot

Explore the charge management journey of Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) in this webinar case study. Learn how RIPTA in partnership with The Mobility House, successfully implemented innovative charge management technology that seamlessly integrated with a backup generator system to power their electric bus charging facility. The site features four newly installed 450 kW pantograph fast chargers, serving 14 electric buses on the R-Line. Leveraging automated load management (ALM) made possible by ChargePilot® from The Mobility House, RIPTA maximized a 1 MW utility connection to accommodate 1.8 MW total charger capacity. Join us as we explore the intricacies of this unique system design, gain insights from RIPTA's experience in implementing this site, and engage in discussions about the potential for creating efficient electric bus charging infrastructure.
