Toyota Motor Europe has chosen The Mobility House Energy as an energy partner in its EV charging ecosystem to deliver a seamless, intelligent, and customer-centric charging experience across Germany. For drivers of Toyota and Lexus electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, this means that they will be able to use smart charging to achieve the lowest possible cost to charge at home. The partnership is planned to expand to include vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capabilities, incentivizing drivers to provide power from their vehicle batteries to support grid stability with bidirectional charging.

Customers will control their home charging using the MyToyota mobile app and the Toyota HomeCharge unit, and smart charging happens automatically based on user preferences and needs. The charging logic is powered by The Mobility House Energy’s expertise and technology to prioritize charging for lowest cost and when renewable energy is most available. Incentives and rewards will be available for participation in smart charging programs.
